The genre of "sermon" as speech reaches its aim of individual or communal edification by using rhetorical strategies and aesthetic features. The researchers from various disciplines such as practical and systematic theology, historical science, and literary studies explore this interconnection in their articles and demonstrate the different facets and the development of the term "edification" in course of time.
